Root does cwm stop OTA's ?

I know how to unroot using ADB but I am not sure if a nandroid backup removes cwm. I have read conflicting opinions and am a bit confused. I just don't want to miss the bug fix OTA that is supposedly coming soon. So I guess what I am asking is how do you remove cwm ?
I know that freezing or renaming VZW crapware will stop ota's. I know how to restore those.

honestly we dont know if clockwork breaks ota...you might pull the ota but it might not install. you can push stock recovery with odin however if you are dead set on getting the ota (dont know why you would be).

the wonderful jt and birdman have the mr already and we ll probably see it in the next few days released from irc/xda whereas vzw might not push it for 2 weeks or more. otas are awful and are more likely to brick your phone than a lot of mods imo :D

I knew they'd get 2.2 out right away when they get it, but I didn't know that the bug fix ota would be available too. Nice ! Guess that clears the path for me.

Thanks for the quick reply ! Much appreciated

no problem...as soon as its available from irc/xda im sure we ll all be jumping on it....hopefully in the next few days..id rather wait for it to be perfect than it be rushed out. (im talking about devs, not sammy/vzw )
