the author really needs to make the restoration a one click affair. he needs to dummy it down a lot. make it have two main buttons, backup and restore and hide all the other options behind a settings menu instead of making someone dig and dig through illogical steps in order to get to the most desirable function of the app......
to be honest, i would not have purchased the app had i known it would have regular backup failures and if i had known i would have to get on IRC and have someone hold my damn hand through a simple restore process.....sometimes less is more. at least give less by default but let power users access all those other configurable settings as they feel the need, but dont put every option out there for the novice android user....thats just asinine
in order to restore, this assumes you just got the wiped device ready to the point you are ready to restore all your apps:
you have to launch program, go to backup/restore tab, touch where it says "click to edit filters", filter by type "Uninst." and choose Apply, you should see a bunch of apps with lines through them. hit capacitive menu button, choose batch, hit the blue RUN next to "Restore missing apps with data" or "Restore missing apps + all system data"
it will then give you the list of all apps it is about to restore, and you can uncheck them as you desire
to be honest i dont know what the difference is between those two in regards to the "data vs. all system data"......
