Hi All ,


I am new to the android world. However I have read that Android 2.2 onwards allows user to select the location (phone memory vs card) for installation.

I am planning to buy a Sony Eric xperia X8.

Please guide me if I would be able to upgrade it to Android 2.2 at a later stage ? Can I expect some hassels ? Can I be sure that the update would be available for the same ? It currently comes with Android 1.6

If you want to stay even remotely up to date with Android versions, don't buy Sony Ericsson. Never ever.

How do you deal with access to apps and data when the SD card isn't available (mounted to PC or during startup)? That seems to be commonly overlooked with people suggesting this idea.

You don't have to use the stock apps.
