Nexus S Pictures leak!

dude ,i don't think you know what you are saying ...samsung is crap ,take my advice and stick to N1

i'll do some research and wait for the reviews, but i'm tired of the clearpad2000...

HTC really burned me and i don't like their hardware, they cheap out on components and try to cover it w/ form over function.

No thanks.

i'd prefer motorola over all others.

No trackball/pad.

Possibly no LED notification light again.

I don't get it, why would Google even bother going to Samsung to just spit out an "upgraded" version of the Galaxy S?

Samsung lacks so much in the design department it's pathetic.

Not to mention it's another phone made up of cheap plastic.

Sorry, epic fail for me. I'll wait till Nexus Pi comes, hopefully it'll be developed by HTC or Motorola. Or just that Sammy will get it's head out of the iPhone's ass and come up with something unique.

HTC seriously screwed up the last nexus... i have one. I don't want them touching another google phone. They use crappy components and cheap out on batteries.

i want a motorola nexus and i want it now!!!

I'm pretty sure you're in the minority there.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of crappy components were used?

As far as batteries are concerned, they're all the same, they'll all suck for minature computers

well you could start w/ the magical touch screen(clearpad2000) it's like the biggest piece of garbage. It completely soured me since this is a touch interface phone... You would think that the one component not to skimp out on is the digitizer.

It wasn't a deal breaker b/c i care more about sticking it to the carriers than anything else it just could have been so much better.

Also if you have one take a look at how it's put together. Pieces don't align correctly, it's off on one side and not the other. It's just shoddy chinese crap. It works alright, but the excellent external design isn't enough to overcome the function which has serious flaws.

Don't get me wrong i have 3 batteries the dock and the car dock which when you put it all together is a fantastic system there's just that one nagging thing, begging me to get another phone that has a proper interface.

you can think i'm wrong but i'm just trying to be objective here i have nothing invested in HTC, i think they make great looking stuff but cheap out on some things.... that's all.

Maybe motorola does it too but their signal is always strong and their screens and interface work well. Not to mention they have the best battery life.

This^ I love my N1 but having to tun the screen off and on so that it registers where I touch is annoying... I personally cant wait for the NS

people need to stop ragging on the design of the nexus s. you wonder why samsung is designing after the iphone... it's simple. even though android sales are greater than iOS sales... the iphone is still the biggest single selling phone on the market. so samsung wants to take what is making the iphone sell, and bring it to android. it's only natural for one company to take ideas and some design features from the other companies that are on top. plus, look at the success that samsung has had with the galaxy s lineup. it is their most successful phone to date worldwide, so once again, it's only natural to design their next flagship phone around the galaxy s. i think the phone looks gorgeous, and if what i hear is true, it'll be a major powerhouse. i can't wait to see this phone, i think i'll have to upgrade early for it. i'm going to see what this phone comes shipped with first though, and i would like to see how it compares to the tegra2 phones. if motorola has any brains, they would aim at the nexus's primary source of sales, tmobile. the nexus one was one of tmobiles best phones, only comparable android phone is the vibrant. motorola needs to release a tegra2 phone for tmobile... however i feel they'll probably keep it exclusive to the droid lineup. anybody else notice motorola's best phones were the droid? everything else was way behind when it came to hardware!

I don't think you're wrong at all, just wanted to see what components you were talking about. (I got nothing invested in them either, ;) )

I do agree about the screen. It's nice and all, but not the most responsive/accurate one.

As far as batteries are concerned, HTC is terrible with them, but it isn't saying much when it comes to smart phones. You'll never get anything great.

And why is it the single most sold phone on the market?
Because it only comes in two different ways between generations!

Why is the Galaxy S line so successful?
Because it's available around the globe for every carrier.

There are plenty of iPhone knockoffs, yet I don't see millions of people showing me their fake iPhones.

As far as Motorola is concerned, I think they're doing pretty well with Verizon.

T-Mobile has some pretty respectable android phones, I don't see all of Verizon's customers coming over to T-Mobile if Motorola announces a Droid for T-Mobile.

At the same time, Motorola investing a lot of money for the nation's smallest of the Big Four carriers, doesn't seem like worthwhile for them.
