Official Nexus 2 Discussion

Samsung basically manufactured the iPhone.

No, unless I'm mistaken, the iPhone has been manufactured by Foxconn for the past couple of years. Also, manufacturing the product and designing it is two completely different things.

And no, the front doesn't look anything like the iPhone on these rumored pictures.

Vibrant/Fascinate = Yes
Rumored Nexus S from leaked pictures = No

Just because the damn shape looks similar doesn't mean it's an iPhone copy. Geez, people like you are like iPhone fanboys. "OMG, that phone looks like (or copied) the iPhone because it has a similar shape!"

Man...Samsung has no originality. The vibrant has the iPhone 3G's front and now the Nexus S has the iPhone 3G's back

I was simply pointing out something I saw. My original post said the Nexus S has the iPhone 3G's BACK. I didn't say the front did. Please re-read my post again. I said the VIBRANT has the iPhone 3G's front.

So you are going to argue with me that the leak picture of the Nexus S's BACK does NOT look like the iPhone 3G's back? OK, I guess I'm blind. I apologize for being like one of those iphone fanboys.

My original post was meant to be funny/sarcastic and pointing out that Samsung is following a 'trend'. I guess you didn't see that. My whole point is that SAMSUNG has no originality in its design.

If posting that makes me an Android fangirl, find, so be it.

No, half the stuff doesn't make any sense, none of the romors has any coherency or consistency.

And that pic of the device on the previous page... the Google logo don't blend in with the unit, I agree with the above that's possibly photoshopped.

This article by A&M explains the photoshop picture pretty well. Now is that believable or not ;) lol. Why are the Engadget Nexus S pics Photoshopped? UPDATE – Android and Me

Not sure why the source bothered with placing the logo on the phone, since it just makes you question the phone in general and as we all know 'it exist' :p

Android Police has more pictures of the Nexus S: Meet The Samsung GT-i9020, Better Known As The Google Nexus S | Android News, Reviews, Applications, Games, Phones, Devices, Tips, Mods, Videos, Podcasts - Android Police

So, I think that's a lady's hand that's holding the S! Kind of 'small' and 'pretty' to be a guy's, lol. When I try holding my Nexus in that postion, it seems to be the same width' as the S.

This phone:
Exclusive: LG's 4-inch Android phone with dual-core Tegra 2 and 1080p video coming in early 2011 -- Engadget

should be the next Nexus. The NS needs to be packing with some really nice hardware if it wants to survive. A rebadge Galaxy would be a joke at this point.

Well, it's exceptionally thin -- we weren't able to compare, but we'd say it's at least comparable with an iPhone 4 if not slimmer still -- and it's thinner in the middle than at either end, giving it a mildly concave profile. There's a glossy plastic bezel up front housing an AMOLED screen, a pair of discrete volume buttons on the left side, and a black plastic back (textured similarly to the BlackBerry Bold, though patchier)

Description of the design is interesting, maybe the design is more ergonomic to hold? lol. Glossy plastic = finger print magnet. I prefer a matt ruberized plastic tbh. I hope it's an SAMOLED and not just an AMOLED screen!!!

I wonder if Canada will get it when it's relased. I would love to play with the phone at the store.
