Incorrect Battery Status

Twice now my Tab has reported a rapid decrease in battery remaining, when it is at 100% and just charged.

It goes down rapidly all the way to zero in about five minutes, then turns off. When you turn it back on again the battery is at 100% and all works fine, lasts for ages as it should.

Anyone else seen this or have any idea what is going wrong. Been fine for two weeks then happened two days running.

Have you installed anything recently like a battery widget or task manager?

I guess I install things quite frequently but nothing like that no.

If you continue to have problems, back up all of your information stored on the device and do a factory reset. To do this, turn the device off and then hold the volume up button while pressing and holding the power button. follow the on screen instructions to do a factory reset. Caution, this will reset your device to when you first got it and you will need to reset everything including adding your apps back in. All apps purchased will be available in the market after logging in to your gmail account. Hope this helps.

I'd rather not reset everything!

I've uninstalled recently installed apps but still no joy.

It seems to be when I leave the unit during the day switched on, but docked on the official keyboard docking station (which also charges it).

When I get home and take it off the dock, the battery indicator says 100% but then rapidly goes down all the way to zero in the space of a few minutes and the unit switches off.

Turn it back on and it shows near full charge and everything is fine.

I've tried redocking and waiting till it gets to 100% charge to replicate the issue but it seems fine. Only when its been sat all day does it happen.

It's like it gets confused.
