Anyone else with buyer's remorse over the Legend?

Hello fellow Legenders.

I've had my Legend for a few weeks now and in general I like it.

However, I've read a lot about its cousins, particularly the Desire, and I'm having a little bit of buyer's remorse. I'm craving that 1ghz processor with expanded memory.

Legend seems to be a bit sluggish in loading Music Player with many gigs of music, and can notice sluggishness in running uninstaller.

Anyone else in the same boat? Help cure my buyer's remorse :p

Had mine since early summer. Love it - best phone I ever had for both phone calls and all the other frills. No performance issues. Transmission clear. Call receipt and placing in areas that I never had reception before. Beautiful screen. Lots of great apps that work fine. Android freedom.

Anything else you would like to know?

Yea you're right. I'm pretty happy overall, the grass is just always greener, ya know?

I like how it's the perfect size, but i swear it is pretty slow when I try to navigate my 5gb music library on it. if only the 600mhz were 1ghz, something about that figure makes me want it.

Same here, when one of my coworkers got the Desire it realized I should have waited. Both phones were running 2.1 at the time and you could clearly tell the difference between the 600mhz and the 1ghz on the home screen, browser and apps.

I'm contemplating getting the Desire HD when it releases in North America.

I do like the Legend's build and size but I'm realizing I would prefer having a bigger screen and more power :p

Sometimes I find myself wishing it were a bit snappier, but considering this is my first step into the smartphone/android world, i have been incredibly impressed with the capabilities of this device.

The design/build of this thing is fantastic. Fits in my pocket just as nicely as my old slider dumbphone, and the chin/rubberized sections make it so that no matter which side you lay it down, you're not risking tons of scratches.

I think once 2.2 finally comes through the bump in speed will go a long way to preventing buyers remorse.

Check in with me in a year and a half, when we are on android 6.0 creme brulee (I am dubbing this CreBru) and my legend is feeling awfully outdated. By then I'm sure I'll be counting down the days until I'm eligible for a hardware upgrade. At that point I'll be ready for a top-of-the-range, large-screened machine, but for now I couldn't ask for a better introduction into the smartphone world than my legend.

I remember when I was in the shop checking out different phones and I picked up the Samsung Galaxy (I think) and I held it in my hands for ten seconds, had it in my pocket for two seconds and immediately decided that it was definitely way too large. The Legend felt just right and still does.

I also like the build, weight, size and I have nothing really against the CPU. I do not want a Desire - it is too large for my pockets.

I do miss the battery lifetime of my old candy bar phone (even though it had dropped from 7 days to 4 days since I bought it).

I had the same experience with the Galaxy. Screen was nice, but it felt light and plasticky, and was just too big. It also looked like too much of an iphone sendup for my taste

Has been 8 months since I got my Legend and I like it very much. I love it's body size, nice aluminium body, has no problem with performance so far, but I tried 3D games on Desire and Legend before, Desire has very nice quality indeed. Luckily I dun like 3D games on mobile because it make's me dizzy..:p

Something not happy with Legend:
1) On/Off Button, mine seems to be lowered by now compared to the time I bought it
2) Home button - getting loose some times
3) Camera is a bit crappy, :p (picture quality not consistent)

Compare to Desire, I would still prefer Legend, for Froyo thingy, maybe is just a matter of time. Maybe is not even matter for those users who rooted. Lastly, never regret on my Legend so far..

I've been using my legend for bout 6 months. I really like the phone... especially after leaving it for a while in an air-con room, the picking it up. Its almost like picking up an ice cube. So cold and smooth. And after using it for a while, it becomes a hand-warmer.:D

The thing I dont really like bout it is cpu, wishing it was 1Ghz. And I wouldnt mind if it had a little bigger screen and higher pixel density.:D Guess you cant have every thing, theres always a compromise.:(

Still really like the phone.

I agree completely. If this phone's screen went right to the edges and it had a 1ghz processor you'd be hard pressed to find a better phone.
