Root Launcherpro FC loop - NEED HELP FAST!

Hey guys - i am in a computer lab between classes ( west chester university) and during my last class, my phone somehow got stuck in a launcherpro FC loop . i really need to be able to use my phone today, but my USB cable is at home.. do i have any options to fix this other than possibly restoring to a backup in clockworkmod recovery? Any help would be much appreciated!

Can you boot into recovery? Then try clearing cache/dalvik cache and reboot. What happens then?

Okay I did that, rebooted, the Velocity screen took a bit longer to get past, but i'm still having the same issue

is my best bet to just restore my most recent backup?

Its not surprising that it took longer to load. That will happen because it has to reload the dalvik for all the apps. If you have a recent backup definitely restore that and see what happens.

Unfortunately, I get the FC before LP even loads, so there isn't even a dockbar by the time i get the error.. thanks though!

Darn . Sorry, I can't think of anything else beyond what others have suggested. It's unfortunate that you don't have you usb cable now. I'm sure adb would come in handy about now.

I've had this issue when testing a theme update.zip yesterday and the only way I could fix it was restoring a backup or reinstalling the rom.

Okay, so far nothing has worked, not even restoring from a backup, and when i boot the phone i can't get past the VZW screen but i can still get into Clockwork recovery. How can i reinstall the stock OS? I am now back at home and have my USB cable

No! Don't wipe ! This happens all the time for me just use clackwork to repartition your sd and wipe all cache it should boot up fine then un fortunetly reinstall everything

yea i had the same issue no matter what i did it kept on looping.. so i just factory reset and my titanium backup restored all my apps... but some apps i have to uninstall then restall cause it keeps force closing when i open it up.. but it seems to fix that issue when i do that..

Have you tried safe mode? Power off and slide keyboard out and press and hold ok and power. let go of power once powered on but keep holding the ok button. should load stock launcher. as for flashing back to stock. its best to use the stock guide and not some stock nandroid back up. http://androidforums.com/ally-all-things-root/166588-how-flash-stock-lg-rom.html

This started Happening to me last night. Tried removing batt, holding power for 20 sec, wiping caches. All a no-go. I'll try the fixes listed and get back to you guys.

Good luck with everything! I fixed my problem by just wiping and re-flashing.. which was probably unnecessary but whatever, it fixed my problem haha. Thanks to everyone in this thread for all the help!

If the common denominator here is Clockwork Recovery, then it would seem a good reason to listen to previous posters advice about using AmonRa Recovery instead. No one has mentioned which ROM they are using either. That might also be a common thread. Just some things to think about.

If you have an app that keeps getting FC's and you cant uninstall it from the phone use "adb" from the android sdk to manually remove it. You could also try reinstalling.
