Well sorta I say ironic. I finally loaded all my mp3 stuff from my Ipod to my vibrant hooked to the lanyard on went on a jog. Did not think it would be safe in my back pocket (Iphone has lasted 6 months in that pocket). I know have about 65% of my screen cracked. See what I get for being cheap and not buying covers and cases for it.

The things still works fine, Will be making my phone calls to tmobile pleading my case and see if they don't take me to the wringers to bad.

So WTF happened to your phone? I don't get it. Was it in your pocket? Was it just on the lanyard & not in your pocket. I read the post 5 times & I still don't understand exactly what happened. Did it fall out of your pocket? Looks like you sat on it. I dropped my vibrant (no case on it), on accident, from about 5 feet & just a minor scratch on it. I was jogging with it on a laynard around my neck under my shirt. When I felt it break loose I tried to feel for it and stop it but did not make it. i am 5'6", and only fell from about 4'. Just hit the ground just right. From what I could see it landed on the metal band around the edge. Had to have pushed the glass just right. The edge of glass is the weakest point.

why..why..WHY would you have it on a lanyard? seriously? How about a velcro arm band? Pocket? i gurantee that even a soft gel case would have saved your phone. If you dont like or use cases, atleast put one on when you do a physical activity

I have used the laynard with heavier phones and never a problem. If I planned on get the arm band thing for it but I had time to kill and took the songs from my iphone and put them on my Vibrant before I bought the arm band. Hey crap happens. Nothing I can do about now but sit back and laugh about what happened.

it sucks at the end of the day though. you going to get a replacement? personally i'd just switch carriers and/or phone at that point. for me, once I have one type of flavor, i dont really like having that same flavor of pudding again, if it makes sense. Hence why im now not only on Verizon, but also have a Droid X. I like it better than the vibrant, truthfully. and the PowerVR SGX 530 is still kick ass.

I do enjoy people telling me what I did wrong after the fact. In case, it didn't think of it as well as to ensure it won't happen again.

I don't get how the phone even got on a lanyard without a case. I see no where on my vibrant where you can attach it to a lanyard.
