Root which overclock app?

i have setcpu, dx/d2 overclocker, and overclocking widget....which one is preferred?????

and i notice there are no powersave etc. options in setcpu with a droid 2

I overlock with JRummys D2/X Overclock and control my CPU speeds with SetCPU. The best way to save power is to have the CPU low when screen is off or battery is low/CPU temp is high.

Can you give some insight as to how exactly this is done? Or how you set yours to save battery power, yet still overclock? I am using the app, but am not quite sure I know what I am doing.

This is my post from another thread. Obviously if you aren't pushing the CPU past 1000 its considered underclocking.

In order of highest priority

Screen off 300/300
CPU temp 99 or higher 600/300
Battery 50% or lower 600/300
Battery 75% or lower 800/300
Charging/Full 1250/400

Also my brightness is 10% and I came from 25%. I barely notice the difference now and i'm sure the battery life has improved.

Also.. Does SetCPU trip up Jrummy? I noticed that in SetCPU it has the max scaling at 1000000 but i have the profile set up in Jrummy at 1.3

To have a profile overclocked on SetCPU you must first overclock then it allows you to go over 1000 max. You can now make profiles using Jrummy's overclock app as of the update I received this morning. I still perfer to use SetCPU because I have my profiles already set up and I like the look of it.
