just wanted to know who is running StupidFast v1.2.3 (UV Test / No Voodoo) and how its running. I saw some were having battery issues just wondered if anyone had ran into any bugs. I figure that its probably a rom issue but just wanted opinions before I move on to this one. I'm happy with the one I'm running but feel like I'm being left behind in the 90s haha. Thanx in advance for any advice.:D

FWIW, if you decide to stick with DI01 build and v1.2.3 thats about as good as it gets for that build. Battery Life using setpcu conservative scaling should be as good as you can get. Any of jt's uv kernels are also fine choices
all Dj05 info is irc as is distribution

#samsung-fascinate

a lot of us are in there constantly :)
Constantly? Hmmm, is that like the ocean is constantly wet?
Ok thanx bud not been there just here and xda...is that the website or does it have different name?
If you join us in there we all have the same username as in here so we are easy to ID, yours is long but at least we'll recognize you too. Not that we dont help anyone and everyone but theres a lot of traffic and a familiar name stands out more, or just use /msg
That really is the cream of the cream in there too knowledge wise. Im no dummy but its honestly a case of graduating high school #1 in class and getting to Harvard and realizing you're below average there so to speak.
But dont let that prevent you from stopping by almost everyone is very friendly and helpful

i just installed this with super clean and the only problem i had so far is with music skipping slightly and some slight crackling in the audio. Hope this goes away as i'm looking for an alternative to carrying my ipod everywhere.

As for battery life, i was at 100% around 4 pm yesterday, here it is almost 9 am (17 hours) and im at 20%, this after about 3 hours of continuous music, 25 minute video in my browser, about an hour of mario kart on Snesoid, and some 30 or so texts last night.. no phone calls... and setcpu set to conservative

the biggest drop i noticed was when i was watching the video.. after 25 minutes it dropped 12%, i also have the screen brightness setting all the way down

Are there any major differences in DJ05 other than gps? Asking because it looks easier for me to screw up..and after what I've managed to do without screwing it up I'd hate to now. I don't use gps so if thats the only major I think I'll just bump up to the next kernel and just wait for you know what (I don't think we are supposed to say that word anymore haha)

if you dont need gps and arent a compulsive flashing addict like myself who can't not be on the latest and greatest...then you really dont need to be on DJ05 :)

K thanx sounds good. The downloading a zip file and flashing in cwm is just about my speed. And don't use gps so I'll just move to next kernel, as always thanx for advice nit.

No I mean like I'm running StupidFast v1.0.36 what one is the 11/16?

11/16 would be jts last DI01 kernel that he put up (there was an 11/17 that didnt make it to rom manager).

i believe that geeknik stopped making DI01 kernels at that point because he believed jts had caught up or surpassed in performance after tweaks

he moved onto DJ05 after that :)
