Anyone managed to run the Angry Birds game on his I7500?
The game requires android 2 (or 2.1/2.2, dont remember), so I installed the latest GAOSP nightly especially for that purpose, but the game just loaded forever...

Till now this phone was quite laggy (compared to the newer devices such as N1) but overall it was usable, but now, when it turns out it can't run this game (and i guess future games won't run either) - there no choice but buying a newer device (HTC Desire HD)

What do you expect, Galaxy is an old phone (over a year now). The hardware (like in PC) is outdated... ...to little memory, processor speed,...
The new phone with hardware like Galaxy S and support like Hero will do the trick.

Can't wait to see the phones with quad-core processor around 4 GHz with 8 GB of RAM with 100 TB size of the SD. What a dream. :D

P.S: I'll settle for dual core processor 2.5 GHz, 2 GB of RAM and 100 GB size of the SD :p

It runs on the nightlies but lags and quite a lot.
Infact with the latest nightlies its going downhill. Sorry to say that.
The next 0.69 beta 3 has a 3D driver update, maybe that can spruce up things a bit.

Does anyone managed to play this game in good conditions now that it is on market and it is also optimized for more phones. In my case it lags alot, even with the O/C cpu.

Yup same issues.
In fact if we can we can fire up a thread to collate all games that work smoothly on the Galaxy 7500. What say? I heard someone say some NFS game works pretty flawlessly on the device but never tried it. BTW : Love your signature :D

Great...So that seems like a good idea.
A dedicated thread which could include arcade games, simulation games or what ever good games worth playing in galaxy.

So I hope you would do the honors :p

I agree with the thread ideea. I would suggest to put there only famous games, or big ones in size and gameplay.
Thx for the siggie compliment.
I would like to know what NFS rund smooth.

Well, it sounds good to me, as long as the games are not linked to. Someone that is willing to update the list should start a thread and I'll link to it in the stickied one. If that person is tired of updating the thread (and that's only if it receives a lot of attention), I can change the thread ownership so someone else can continue to update it.

Also, users should indicate what their system information is (GAOSP version, overclocking, etc) when posting in the thread. It might be a good idea to wait for the third beta to compare GAOSP vs Galaxo though.

EDIT: Oh and by the way Angry Bird is now available in the market for Galaxo users. It's pretty much unplayable though.

I will confirm that NFS works pretty damned good. It originally was ripped from a droid and its not a paid game ( that I'm aware of ) If "D" says that's acceptable enough, I'll post the source and the direct link for the version that works on our Galaxy's ( there's two ).

I'm afraid it would be against the forum rules. I did a quick search on the forums and the other threads where the link was given were edited out. Also the apk has been pulled from megaupload and rapidshare.

Sorry. :( I was interested too.

So, someone should start the thread, the i`ll post all the games i have installed on my phone :D in detail.

Grt Start It
We will follow suit

Maybe also add details whether:

1. The game runs smoothly/lags somewhat/lags horribly
2. Is it Recommended for Galaxy
3. Personal Rating out of 1-5

and the System Details ( IMPORTANT !!! )

1. GAOSP/Galaxo Version
2. Overclocking (if any)
3. Swap (if any)

Maybe when we have enough games we can have a poll to choose the favorite game of the forum :D

Better wait for Drakaz to release the next nightly or mentioned RC1 (skipping beta???). The next release looks promising, the only thing remaining is the big issue with deleting the pictures and movie files (.avi not included) on SD card. And little tuning.

Now some little disappointing news for those who wish to have working bluetooth, apparently the work on it will continue after GAOSP version 1 is released. Take a look on Todo list

You are right bro..But no issues...The games could be started :)
Maybe we can also see if there's any improvement on further future releases.

Though disappointed about the BT thing
