Help Factory Reset help

So I just tried doing a factory reset after my problems with people not being able to hear me or me hear them during phone calls. I did the factory reset by turning the phone off and holding the power button at the same time as the home button to get into recovery mode. I chose the factory reset from there. When the phone booted up, it never prompted me to activate it with the dialer. Everything was reset and it prompted me to set up the google account and stuff, but it was like it remembered my phone number and everything. Why did it do this?

An SBF is the only true way to start the phone back to NiB condition.

SBF does not restore it to out of the box condition.

Menu/Settings/Privacy/FactoryDataReset

That will prompt to activate upon first boot and be a completely clean slate assuming you were on a stock ROM. If you have been flashing ROM's you will want to SBF and factory data reset.

Just a thought. In order to improve call quality, dial *22899 and wait for your phone to update. You have to do that after EVERY reset or fresh rom. That'll fix your problem.
