Anything better then ShootMe? With this app what I hate is that I have to shake it to take a screen shot. Is there anything king of like the iPhone. Just click a button and it takes a pic? My phone is rooted and I'm using the MIUI 11.5 ROM and it has a built in screen shot taker but it is not working, it takes the picture but when it saves it it's corrupted :(

Help someone :(

There needs to be a screen shot app that doesnt require rooting, I refuse to root my phone and its not fair to those of us who don't want to root our phones.

You refuse to root your phone? I've never heard it put quite that way. I'm not criticizing really, just curious as to your thinking.

Rooting is not detrimental to one's phone, though I expect you already know that. Doing so can bring a sense of liberation, as it were, enabling you to do things you would not otherwise be able to do.

I've heard Froyo provides a way to take screenshots without rooting, but I've not heard of anyone having real success with it.

You can, it is just alot harder. You need to hook your phone up to your computer and use the Android SDK to screen shot.

I know but thats a lot of work just for a simple screen shot. And if I'm out and about and wanbt to take a screen shot, I won't be able to because my pc will be at home.

Just makes no sense as to why a screen shot app that doesn't require rooting cannot be made.

It is just a restriction that Google has placed on android because a 3rd party screen shot app could potentially capture anything on you screen including passwords and send them to the developer. Any app that breaks restrictions like that has to have root access
