Adw.launcher help.

Hi everyone, so I installed the ADW.launcher homescreen replacement app and love it. The only problem is that I have to force quit my default homescreen (in this case it's called "LG Homescreen")--task-killers won't work and I have to go into the application settings to force it. Fine. But every time I reboot my phone it runs along side of adw and I want only adw when the phone boots. I already set adw as my default homscreen, no change.

Sorry if there is an obvious fix for this, but I can't find one anywhere.

Are you saying ADW won't run unless you kill the LG homescreen, or you think you can't have 2 homescreen launchers running at the same time? If it's the latter, the obvious "fix" is to not kill LG homescreen. Just set ADW to be your default launcher.

I'm saying they're running at the same time, even though I already set adw as my default homescreen.

Unless you are using the widgets unique to LG Homescreen, it won't consume any CPU cycles even though it is shown as running. you can load an app like Watchdog Lite that will monitor CPU use and you can see for yourself which app is the most power hungry. As far as removing it, you'll need to root your phone, I wouldn't. The manufacturers (LG in this case) integrate their UI's too tightly with the system so that removal may cause more problems than it solves.
