Hi everyone Harry here and I got myself a new Droid X. I have only just scratched the surface of the Droid X (Android OS) and am taking in lots of info. I have rooted my unit and have loaded it at this point with needed productivity tools to start. I am being cautious with OS tweaks at the moment till I have a better understanding of what things do. At least for the moment I can communicate with Text, Email and Voice.
I hope to in the near future develop some applications for remote control and home automation. I have a proof of concept controller using AVR type embedded processor working at home and that development is going well. I tried to via the droid browser to connect to it and it failed but that could be a tcp port issue. So I think that I have a bunch of reading to do on this matter. Looking through the forum with all the info is like drinking from a fire hose (lol).
Well enough of that stuff I just wanted to say Hi!
