I think that even though they're not mentioning phones yet it's still a very good sign that LTE Phones are around the Corner and I believe it will be within the next 4weeks. I just don't think they'd send all this 4g LTE shit without something on the horizon . I'm guessing and this is just a guess that within 14 days of Black Friday they will release a phone and 1 or 2 broadband devices .

I could honestly care less about 4g at this point even though my area is completely covered . I rarely am using intense web surfint or video downloading unless I'm connected to WiFi anyways and even then I don't use it much. But I do want to see some new devises why I love my Incredible , I'm ready for something new . I get bored easily

I think that is what was said awhile back by someone that it would only be usb sticks(modems) for 4g first and then 4g phones would come out later on so i cant see a 4g phone coming anytime soon although i do wish they would launch either the merge or the inc hd they both look like awesome phones i dont really care whether they are 4g or not

Here we go again! It was just under a year ago that we were drooling over pictures of the HTC Passion (Nexus 1) and dreaming of our next phone. I for one like the looks of the HD but until firm spec is released, mainly screen resolution and processor speed, I'm going to stick with the OG Incredible. This will definitely be a fun place to hang out though. I think we will see more than one killer phone announced/released etc... in January. I am looking forward to see what is spotted at CES, and then Mobile World Congress in February. I'm not eligible for an upgrade until April anyway.

As a blanket statement, this is false. If you're on an individual plan, yes. Due to some limitations of Sprint's family plans, I calculated it would cost me MORE with Sprint, mainly because the Simply Everything plan with two lines would be more expensive than what I was paying with Verizon. Sure, I'd get more features for the dollar, but my wife didn't want/need a smart phone. There was no conceivable way for the exact same features to a la carte my service through Sprint at a better price point than Verizon. All situations aren't created equally.

with VZW 69.99 unlimited plan you get the same as sprints 69.99 plan except there is no addition $10 charge for 4G, therefore VZW would be cheaper

Little update from Miami over on Droid Forums...

Now for more in the HD VZW still expects release this year. Date is still uncertain but dummy devices are also scheduled to arrive shortly. No accessories have arrived either so i'll continue to look deep on that device.

On thing is certain Merge owners will be super happy very shortly. HD wanters still could be ecstatic before years end!!

the merge was inaccurately reported to be pushed back for 4g by everyone from engadget to droidlife and countless others. it just goes to show you really have to pick and choose who you believe right now. as for me i will go with miami (who held strong that the merge would be 3g and coming in 2010). here's hoping the hd will do the same. i hope he can post his pics of the hd soon.

i wonder how long it will take for his pics of the merge accessories to get to engadget or droidlife and if they will correct their errors about this device?

I'll probably buy an EVO this week at BestBuy instead of Amazon & exercise the 30 day return if the Incredible HD shows up in December preferably with LTE capability (even if LTE network launch won't happen until Q1 2011).

I hope miami is right & the sooner we hear something official the better..

How was he spot on about the merge? He said it was going to be released a few times and still nothing so anymore i dont put my hopes on anyone until Vzw comes out with info.

I'm not discrediting Miami by any means...but he is not the one responsible for actually releasing the phone. Verizon is in the driver seat. I still look to Miami for info or preliminary timelines but I'm not hanging on every word he speaks. Like he said, the timeline for this phone has shifted several times already.

I'm just waiting for the big V to actually announce this phone.

Have you even seen the pics he released ? How about him stating it would not be 4g like EVERYWHERE else reported? The merge will be here before 2011 imo.
