Help Wifi disconnecting when phone goes into standby

Well, ive got an Xperia X8 and when i'm at home and connected via WIFI when the phone goes into standby, the wifi disconnects and the phone goes onto its standard data connection (3G). I had a HTC Hero and this problem never occured, the wifi was always on until i told it otherwise.

Its a bit of a pain though, coz if i quickly need to check something online, when i wake the phone from idle (e.g go onto the facebook app) it wont connect, i presume because the phone is in the process of switching back from 3G to WIFI.

Any idea how to stop the wifi disconnectin in standby?

When u in wifi settings, click the menu button to open up advanced settings

Hey i have an Xperia arc and i am having the same problem except that when i go to the wifi sleep settings it says never. The only way that i can keep it connected is with an app.
