Hi, i have a Droid Eris running the legitmate verison of Android 2.1. I installed PdaNet, and I am trying to get the internet on my laptop (running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit) via the Bluetooth DUN option. But, windows is not detecting or finding the phone, I keep searching over and over again and it still wont find the phone. I would really appreciate if you could help. Thanks! :)

Hi there Stinky Stinky! :)

Thanks for welcoming me!

The Problem is I actually dont have a usb and cant connect the phone to the computer, and EasyTether requires you to connect the phone to the computer via USB, im actually looking for one that allows you to do it via Bluetooth or Wifi, which PdaNet allows, any other suggestions?

Hmm are you trying to use the interwebz through your phone or transfer files?

You can do that with wifi and open like port 80 using your pc's browser hmm damn this is 1 is hard :) hahaha

WAIT! Hang on a second!

What hardware version is your bluetooth dongle?! If it is 1.x i don't think it will support Dial up Networking. But 2.x will support it if i recall. :)

Is your phone rooted by anychance? I think you need root for it.

But thats cool dude! i like a challenge! :)

Hmm, when i suggested bluetooth dongle i meant on your PC dude but no worries man! :)

You see your phone is very new so it might not be your phone that is the problem (i think) ;)

Check your bluetooth version on your pc with Windows 7 ( I use Linux Mint 9 so don't know how to use Windows 7 that well ) :)

Type "ipconfig" (internet protocol configuration) in command prompt if i recall.

Type "wifi tether" on the market maybe? Damn this 1 is hard hahahah lol :)
