Help 3 button recovery> format internal sd?

I was just wondering if I format the internal SD card from the 3 button recovery mode will this wipe everything? Including Android? And if so would it be possible to re-install Android via kies?

Your not going to lose your android softwere from the recovery mode. You will lose the apps only

I got some trouble and also need to format my internal-SD on i7500.
Could anyone help for the part?

I copy all files/Director from internal-SD to PC and move back again.
It impacts the filesystem in internal-SD I guess.
I can't access the internal-SD anymore.
I can't download file, can't take photo, etc...

Could I format the internal SD(All filesystem including OS) and re-upgrade Recovery/ROM by myself?

I did it, it doesn't wipe the os. Actually, it deleted only 'user part of the internal sd card' and some applications. I made a factory reset then formatted, so I am not sure about the applications but, sure, it doesn't delete the os.

thanks for the input guys, I guess format is pretty much the same as factory reset then.
