Root Rom Manager Question.

I have the paid version of Rom Manager on my rooted Fascinate. When I click to flask ClockworkMod Recovery, I am asked to choose a phone model. My choices are;

Galaxy S i9000
Galaxy S Vibrant
Galaxy S Captivate

Can I make a selection from these 3 options? Thanks.

No. Koush needs to update ClockworkMod for the Fascinate. I would not recommend choosing any of those other phones even though they are similar. I'm dying to get clockworkmod so I'm hoping Koush will get it going for us soon.

Unfortunately, Rom Manager is basically worthless for us at the moment.

Yup. It was a piece of cake.

Where do you get the Update.zip file from???? I did all the steps I could, but I still can't get the phone to sync with my sister's Google account. It locked up and perma-black screened after rooting and installing launcher pro, so I tried to use the backup from Odin to save it. Saved the phone. Seems to work. The verizon backup option successfully restores her contact info.

I can't get it to sync with her google account, and I am LOSING MY MIND because I have to leave early tomorrow morning, and I don't want to leave my sis. with a broken phone.

HELP!!

im waiting for the Rom Manager to work out of the market....im in no hurry to manipulate a piece of software to work on a newly released handset to install roms that dont yet exist or are not mature.......you guys can have a brick, i still need mine to work, im all for modding my phones, always have....back in the BitPim days and all....but these phones are still very new and the more i start to tinker beyond rooting the more i am finding out things aren't ready yet...

BitPim ah yes good times on my old LG's. A very prudent perspective. I too watch and learn over at xda. Generally, I wait for others to jump in the pool first just to test the waters for me before I make the plunge myself

Saps, try a factory data reset on the phone. It sounds like there's an issue with one of the providers, or a piece of software.

As far as Clockwork Mod/ROM Manager goes, you have to flash a new kernel before you can flash recovery on the phone, hence the need for Odin and the .tar file provided by Koush.

I've done it on my wife's phone, and on mine. It is foolproof.

I just traded my Droid X for the Fascinated, and I have to say, the Fascinate is light years easier to hack, etc.
