So I have kind of started figuring this stuff out. I've successfully flashed to sbf a few times after screwing up. . So I was wondering about the proper order of installing zips.. For right now I have . . SBF, One click root, Blackglassdeodexer, Blackglassback to stock, Rubix1.86 i think. .. . I was wondering if the order changed anything... Or what all I can now do from here. I'm also having a few random reboots a day where it'll just stop and reboot..

Thanks in advanced guys.

If you are just using the blackglass to deodex and then going right back to stock, and then installing RubiX 1.8.6, you can skip the blackglass steps, as rubiX also deodexes for you. So, from stock rooted, install rubiX, then any theme you want, then any update zips. Oh and if you are getting reboots, try wiping data and cache before installing any ROM.

You have sbf on your phones SD? I don't think that is necessary and the file itself is HUGE! I asked about this a week or so ago myself as I wondered.

The SBF you use should be on your computer. If you're flashing to a nandroid of an SBF'd point, it takes more than a restore to get back to "clean".

I personally do keep an SBF, and all the related files, and ROMs, on my SD card, though, just in case something goes bad, and I'm not at home. It doesn't take up that much space, considering, unless you use your SD card for a lot of stuff.

Now nandroids on the other hand, take up massive amounts of space. I try to stick to only having 3 of them, these days. I kept 7 or 8 while testing all the ROMs coming out, but once settling on one ROM, I SBF'd and wiped fully, and picked just one ROM to run. Doing that cleared up a lot of issues you can get from constantly swapping between restore points.

Hey Kicken you don't mind I piggy back this thread do you? I mean I'm in the same situation as you. I am running stock rom and 928 BGX and want to maybe go with a custom rom now. Like maybe apex or rubix still undecided right now, would like a nice peppy rom with a nice clean theme maybe revolution theme but anyways what should happen, do I install say rubix over 928 BGX reason I ask will it leave some of the theme on the new rom? Or do I need to get the back to stock deodexed theme and install rom from there? or just run rsdlite flash back to a clean sbf and just start with rubx or apex? So much to learn! I am sorry not trying to hi-jack your post just thought we had the same questions.

I don't think you need to install the backtostock deodexed theme or do the sbf either. Just restore the backup you made right after you rooted, before you installed any themes. That will take you to the stock clean version of your phone. Then install whatever ROM or theme you want from there. Check to see if the ROM or theme deodexes for you. If you are unsure, then yeah, you might as well run the back to stock one so you are sure.
