I have around 300 contacts and it takes about 5 seconds, so it seems like that is your problem.

That's a bummer. It kind of ruins the productivity advantage if you have to wait to use it.

I agree =/ have you tried the car dock mode? It's really fast and seems like it does the same thing.

I used this: [Guide] MT4G Remapping Genius button to Google Search - xda-developers and now my genius button uses Vlingo, which is awesome!

It takes a full minute for my myTouch 4G to deliver the "Please wait" statement, and then it quickly beeps for voice input. That makes is almost completely useless. Is there a trick to make it just function for voice dialing so it responds quickly? On my old windows 6.5 phone it took about 2 seconds to respond. I never thought I would be moving backwards with a myTouch 4G.
