EDIT: There was an article here in regards to the thread title that has been shown to be misleading.

If you'd have asked me a few years ago I would have said it was solely aliens alone that built them, but given what I've learnt about Nikola Telsa over these last few years I really couldn't say now, but when we look at artefacts, drawings and ornaments from thousands of years ago depicting the modern day image of an alien, I still wouldn't rule them out.

In other news is it so hard to believe aliens exist ? Honestly thing about the whole situation . The estimated age of the universe (who really knows) , How long humans have been on this planet . It doesnt take a genious to figure out there is a good chance somewhere else in the universe a civilization formed and has been around for sometime now . It only makes logical sence . Of course my idea of an alien is a bug crawling around on a rock somewhere or an animal on some planet . Hell maybe even other humans similar to ourselves . Once you sit down and think about it , the odds are pretty good there is something out there . Now if they are friendly thats another thing LOL .

From 3:10 onwards illustrates the size of the universe but still worth watching it all if you haven't seen it before, and even for someone as openminded as myself still find it hard to comprehend sometimes just how big it is, and insignificant we are in the grand scheme of things.

I believe life exists elsewhere possibly...but I don't necessarily believe intelligent life exists elsewhere. There are so many factors that have to be perfect for a eco system like Earth to exist...and then for life to form. Just because billions of years have passed and billions of galaxies exist does not mean there is another intelligent life form.

Also...can you at least post a credible source? A google search finds nothing but forums full of whack jobs talking about this. Just because some off the wall website mentions a real persons name with a real location doesn't mean it's true...c'mon people. You're starting to sound like the religious folks.

Just because billions of years have passed and billions of galaxies exist does not mean there is another intelligent life form.

But it doesn't mean it doesn't either, but the chance of probability would suggest it does.

Heh...so I'm pretty sure that professor doesn't even exist. Not listed on their faculty/staff page of their Archaeology department...sure as hell isn't the head of the department either. At least investigate this rubbish before you post it.

- i believe there is life outside of earth.
- i believe there is intellgent life ouside of earth
- i am not so sure about space travel within a life span.. it might be possible with some sort of sleep-hibernation-freeze tech.
unless the life form can live thousands of years.
- if they are smart enough and powerful enough to travel millions of light years to visit us. I dont think they here for bad reasons. Closer resources can be found!

I'm with you completely on everything.

I googled the good doctor and can't find much of anything on him. It looks like he was not a speaker at said conference, but that he did chair a session there. I have no idea what he's a doctor of, who/what he's associated with or anything else about him. The general topics of the sessions he was chairing was astronomy. The story is plausible I guess, but there's no evidence whatsoever that it actually happened.
