stop ringer for some calls

Hi,
Is there a way to select what numbers trigger the ringers but would be able to set a profile so that if my wife or childminder rings (in an emergency) the phone would ring for them but any other callers it would stay silent. I could do this on my blackberry but cant find this on the desire??or even an app would do if anyone knows any thanks

Can't comment on it's use, but it appears to do what you want.

Edit: Can't find it on the market, but searching for Night Ringer, brought up at least two free apps, and a few paid ones that offer the same. Ring Manager & Ringer Manager being two of the free ones.

Got rid of shhhh as I got tasker for WiFi on/off. Pointless cluttering with duplicate apps

AutoRing is a free app that allows you to white-list certain people to ring when your phone is on silent or vibrate. It has a missed call feature so that you can set ti to only answer the second (or third) time they call in a period of time. That way in a non-emergency it goes to VM, if they call right back it answers.

You can also set a contact to go direct to voicemail when they call, just view the contacts details to see the option.
