Root [Lockscreen Mod]Master Lock!!

Hey guys,

For those of you who would like to spice up their lock screen, I have created an image of a master lock, that stretches as you slide across the screen!

I have included a screen shot of this in action, as well as a link to the .9.png - which needs to be installed using NinjaMorph.

I'm loving it, let me know what you think!

Woah! It took you 23 minutes to unlock your phone. That has to be some kind of record.



Not for me, but nice work on it anyway. If you wanted to tweak it, it'd be kind of cool to see the dial rotate as you unlock.

Took me a while to decide to take the second screen shot

Making the dial rotate is far beyond my capabilities...would have to rewrite the lockscreen code - which is something I have no idea how to do, and don't know if it's even possible...

I could make the lock stretch differently though - have the dial grow maybe?

Yea.. That, or it'd be cool if when you pulled it, it pulled the one side of the loop out of the lock, like a real lock would if you pulled it open. Not really for me personally, but it's a fun idea.

I had the same idea - unfortunately it's not possible with the way the lockscreen is programmed... All you can do is have 1 part of your image stretch as you slide your finger across the screen....you can't stretch 1/2 of the image vertically....

What would really be cool is if you could actually have a code where you spin the wheel like a master lock, then there was an auto animation of it unlocking, then fade to your home screen...Once again, this is entirely out of the realm of possibility, as I have no interest in reinventing the lockscreen wheel

I am, however, open to other creative ideas for lockscreen slider replacements - if anyone has some cool suggestions I can make it happen for you...

That's pretty cool! Nice job! For me personally, I think I'm more interested in your Notification Bar. If you dont mind me asking, what notification bar/theme is this from?

If you're interested, I can check it out for you possibly later today / tomorrow. Like i said, it's not hugely for me, but I could probably modify your lockscreen that you posted up and make it work like that if you want.

It came with Tranquility 3.5 - I added the circle battery from XDA - I believe it's the inverted AOSP theme - Fab said he'd be putting it together for his ApeX rom soon...

I agree it is a bit blasphemous - I sometimes feel like we android users feel like we have total control over the device...having the hand of God to unlock our phone would confirm this. On the other hand (no pun intended )- it looks kinda weird when it stretches - so I'm not changing from my master lock.

I also am experimenting with planes & afterburners - which look really cool!

Here ya go...first one is a drawing I think, the other 2 are pictures but at slight angles. I know nothing about installing files with Ninjamorph though, is that easy to learn?
