This is my first flash from 2.1. I installed it this afternoon and all I have to say is that if you are still running 2.1 this is a must. This thing now works the way that the phone should of out of the box. The wifi calling is awesome because I dont get the best of service at my home.

You guys must be talking about the modem/data connection. I got it from XDA also but i havent installed it yet. Im waiting to get a custom 2.2 Froyo ROM that has JK6 in it already.

Sometimes its good to experience the stock JK6 first,
before trying out the ROM's with enhanced features.
Just my 2 cents.

The JK6 from Sombionix is good...you might want to take a look at it. It will be a few days I expect before a full-blown custom build is out.

For JK6? Not that I've seen. For that matter I've not seen a changelog for a leaked ROM. Not saying they don't exist, but more often than not one finds the changes from what everyone else posts in the forums.

Sombionix is the founder of Team Whiskey, who have brought us the Bionix, Fusion, Obsidian and Onyx ROM's. They don't have a full-blown JK6 ROM out yet...Sombionix simply made a few very minor changes to the leaked JK6 and put it up for download. That's what I'm using and I'm quite pleased with it. I have no doubt TW is hard at work on the latest leak.

Wow, that link you gave me is a huge file. Is that a ROM? The JK6 i linked is only 4MB which is just the modem. Yours is 176 MB, which is bigger than Axura's ROM.

The modem is somehow related to the GPS, so if you're displeased with your phones GPS performance (on a Vibrant? Say it isn't so!) you might want to try it out if you don't care to install the whole ROM. But the ROM, for being stock, is surprisingly good.

So I was running Axura, then I installed JK6 modem.bin on top of Axura 2.0.5.
The Jk6 modem is definitely an improvement upon JK2.

Then I said the hell with it, and I installed the leaked Jk6 stock rom.

IF YOU LOVE TOUCHWIZ...INSTALL THIS! YOU WILL LOVE IT.

I dont like Touchwiz. The only time i ever used it was to delete an App. Couldnt figure how to do that with LP and ADW but now with Titanium backup i can delete the ones i dont want.

Im going to give Axura 2.1 a go when it is released next week for free.

Nice ROM. So far it is working fast and smooth but my music player wont work and i get no sound from my Twitter notifications..

I wouldn't announce that publicly unless you "donated" for Axura 2.1. You might be put on a developers hit list. Have you been following the drama over at XDA?

I have. Read every page. Master is being a crybaby from what ive read. He does his Axura off of leaks from others so i dont know what he is whining about. No i didnt donate.
Some posters think Master is such a craybaby that they posted his latest 2.1 to downlaod from a free site . Not sure which one it was but it was something like mediafire and thats where i got it.

My only complaint so far is that i dont get sound for my notifications like i used to. I found something that will play my music.
