Hi
Ive just rooted my desire using unrEVOked3 and am ready to start looking at custom ROMs.

I have installed Titanium Backup and will shortly install ROM Manager and create a partition on my SD card.

When installing a custom ROM am I right to assume that all data on my phone such as contacts, text messages, emails, settings etc will be lost during the reflash ?

If so, how do I go about backing all this up so that I can restore once the custom ROM is installed ?

Sorry if this is covered elsewhere.

Thanks in advance.

If you need a wipe, its lost. If not, its not. If you restore the same data you had to wipe for the tom to work, then your Rom won't work.

What Rom ate you trying?

Sms, bookmarks, call logs I backup with mybackup pro. If you need to wipe, can restore appa with titanium, the above with my backup and manually apply settings

Im looking at the Leedroid rom just to try things out.

Ive done a backup of my current rom using ROM Manager and have used MyBackup Pro to create backups of both my data and apps.

Im thinking this is enough to make sure that I don't lose anything even if things go wrong ?
