Root Screwed Up My Droid

Ok heres what happened. I was messing with installing a new theme on my droid and wasn't having much luck then finally one seemed to install. I rebooted the phone up came the M and then it set there for a minute then nothing. I can reboot into recovery but can't get it to find my back up and start over.

I could really use some help if anyone could give me some guidance. Thanks in advance for your help.

It takes more than just a min to boot up, give it some time.

Heres what I would like to know. I can get into SPRecovery but can't get my phone to back up correctly. When I hit the reboot it looks normal the M comes up and then it sits there for a couple minutes then the M goes away and nothing happens. I let it sit for a long time and it never boots back up.

Can someone give me come guidance as to what to do once I am in recovery to get my phone up and going again. Thanks.

Yea, when you get into SPRecovery...click on factory reset...hit yes...then it will do it things. You should still be rooted and everything else.

Thats what I did and it finished I selected reboot it waited a second then the M came up stayed for a minute or so then nothing but a dull glow from my screen.
I guess that theme I loaded really did a number on my phone.

Anyone else have anything else I can do to try on my phone?

Thanks

Take out your SD card, connect it to a computer, download a new ROM via any website...LFY, CM, BB, SS, whatever you want. Put that in the root of your SD card, and rename it update. When you get into recovery mode tell the phone to install update.zip from SD card. Let it do its magic and now you have a new ROM, so your phone should be fixed

Thank you very much that did the trick. I really appreciate your help, I'm not sure that I would have ever thought of that. Thanks again.
