Froyo... it's getting closer

I like how they call it official so definitively then proceed to say, " but the DK28 version making the rounds at xda-developers looks to be the real deal." Looks to be the real deal and a link to XDA?? That doesn't sound like an official update to me. It's official or IT'S NOT there is NO in between. How hard is that?

Because I own an Epic, I probably follow it a bit more closely. It does APPEAR to be the official version (or at least a RC) as it appears to be hosted by Google. :)

If the link goes to google's servers, can someone please go to the link and grab the url, the Captivate's update might be available on the server just not made public yet. Usually the device name will be part of the url path (i.e. "passion" for the N1, "dream" for the G1, "captivate (?)" for us)... I am away from a computer but this is a possibility... I got 2.2.1 pre-official release this way...

Owwww, it does appear to be hosted by google! AT&T cannot be too far behind! Enjoy your update on your epic! You'll probably post your experience over on the epic forum, would you post that here as well, or link? :D

This is probably the closest we've gotten and I'm happy to read this, definitely. I just wonder how much different it's going to be from this Froyo ROM I currently have, but yeah, it's better knowing it's out for the Epic 4G rather than just for the European phones. Now, time to pray nothing's wrong with this version so that we can get it, too.

I won't be updating any time soon. I'm happily running a previous group leak and have tweeked certain apks to my liking (not to mention having a working hulu). :)Check the Froyo sticky in the Epic section for reviews though!

i like motorola phones less everytime i use them. i played with my friends droid x yesterday and i couldnt type on the thing, i had to press harder to register my presses and i had to click on things on the screen multiple times also because im used to light presses on my phone and it wouldnt register on his phone. also the hardware buttons were very loose. everyone says samsung have the lowest quality builds but that phone felt very cheap to me

What's so special about the Axura RC1? I'd like to know. Considering switching to that ROM myself, but not to sure.

It doesn't really matter since it's been pulled by the creator (For what it's worth, I was contemplating switching to it too). Not really sure why, but he did so and asked people who had it not to post it.
