Help Factory Reset and Recover apps, data, messages

Hey,

I've been told to do a factory reset to remove the lag and crashes on my SGS. It started after upgrading 2.1 to 2.2. But... I'll lose my data if I do. I did a backup using Titanium backup, and sms backup & restore. But I'm unsure if there are any pitfalls I should worry about when resetting and later returning the apps and data.

If anyone has done this procedure (probably :p ) any hints and tips are welcome.

Thanks!

In case something bad happens, back up your back ups :)D) to your computer too. And if you can find the apk file of Titanium Backup, save it too. If something happens to your market application or connections, you can recover your applications by installing this apk.

I see. Ok thanks.

And on the sms history, I was thinking about sms backup & restore apk. However I did read in its release notes that mms is not supported. I can live with it, but I don't want to lose regular sms messages because there is an mms in between. I did read something about that somewhere
