Root DI01 or DJ05

Can someone please explain the differences and which build I should be using. Currently I have DI01.

If this has already been explained, please point me in the right direction, I couldnt find it.

You dont have to be running a certian one. DI01 is the stock one that your phone came with. DJ05 is a leaked update check out this link

There are a few posts on this board with the exact details in DJ05. I can tell you I just upgraded mine over the weekend due to the problems with the GPS on DI01 where in some cases it never locked. Since going to DJ05 the GPS no locks on in seconds..typically less than 5!!!

actually dio1 was the first ota for verizon not stock

really the major issues that dj05 addresses is gps and signal reporting

and for the root crowd, all kernel and rom development is now dj05 based...and very few themes are being supported anymore on di01

nope...you have to get the radio file to flash in odin and a dj05 rom or stock system dump from irc #samsung-fascinate

you would need a rom, kernel, and radio from dj05....gotta drop by irc for the radio to flash in odin and the rom...some of the kernels too...others are in rm however


then disable old voodoo, flash a nonvoodoo kernel over and delete the disable lagfix file.

put the phone in d/l mode....load the radio in odin under pda.....and flash it.

then boot to clockwork and flash the rom....and then the kernel (either order on doesnt matter)

lol i just created a thread asking the same thing, thanks for the awesomely fast reply! if i flash the new radio, am i gonna lose any data? i don't think so, but I wanna make sure.

with the new ROM, would i need to wipe all data? i know it's recommended, but i didn't usually do it in the past with my Droid1

the radio wont affect data no....i always wipe data between roms...but many didnt to DJ05 and were fine

ok.. i need your help on a few things.. i'm an IRC noob, tried logging in once and got hella confused trying to do so. never used it before.. could you grab the DJ05 radio for me?

as for the kernel, where'd you get your 1200 kernel? i assume the ROM you're on is in Rom Manager?

I would put adynalyne's voodoo uninstaller on your sd just in case shit hits the fan on the disable. I just used that, but byebye data if you're impatient like me

No offense (i promise) but the irc only thing is kind of there to keep particularly inept peeps out of trouble. If you can't figure it out, probably shouldn't do stuff like this google a tutorial, it's not hard, I have faith in you

easiest way (whether it works is something else) is to create a file named disable_lagfix in your voodoo folder on ur sdcard and reboot and let it reconvert

if it doesnt work you need to run adryns uninstaller [How to] Completely Remove Voodoo Lagfix - xda-developers
