I am in the market for a new Android phone and need a bit of advise please. I will either be adding a phone to AT&T family plan or getting a new line from Sprint. I'm looking for input on which Android phone will best meet my needs. I prefer to have a physical keyboard and would like something that is easy to root and is not blocked from doing so. It is possible that I may wait until January sometime, but that's not firm. I had the Droid on Verizon a while back and liked it well but I do not want to go to Verizon at this time.

Thanks for any words of wisdom, I do appreciate it.

1. att cripples the android phones. the choices for android phone are not great. Captivate is your only good choice, but it dont have a keyboard.

2. Sprint will be more expensive for you.. since it is not part of a family plan. But the EPIC will be the best fit. all other phones with keyboards, I would not recommend. There is a rumor that a new HTC EVO Shift will be out in early January. it will have a keyboard.

For a physical keyboard, go with Sprint and get the epic. It's a pretty sick phone.
