I've tried to search for these and can't find the answers. Help please.

1. Tried opening a PDF file (2mb) on my gmail application. Tried to open "PDF Viewer" and it said "file can not be viewed. I know the PDF is a good file because it opened just fine on my computer. I have tried to open other PDF's and they work just fine. Any suggestions?

2. Tried to open a video as a wmv file on my gmail application. Loaded fine with sound only, no video. Any Suggestions?

3. Is there a screen lock feature where you can put your phone in your pocket while on your bluetooth headset?

As far as your question goes about PDF's... Try going to gmail.com in the browser and download it through there. The standard GMAIL app that comes with the phone is very weak. The mobile site is much much better. I HTC would make an app that is similar to the website!

I'll give that a try. Thanks. I am still confused about the video proplem.

On that subject, how exactly were you trying to open the video in gmail? Was this a file that was in your email? If that is the case it may be too big of a resolution or an unsupported video format. If it is something you really want to watch on your phone, try using a video converter and down scale the video to a smaller res. Ide switch it out of the windows format to something more universal like mp4 or similar... :D

Thanks for the advice. I know it was around 3mb and it was a windows media file. I am just surprised I could watch those on my old Crackberry Curve, but not this pimped out Eris.

hmm, the video player built into this device is weak, try yxflash or similar apps to see if that fixes this issue. And as far as your 3rd question about the bluetooth lock, did you get the new update? I don't use bluetooth myself so I cannot test fully, but while I am on a call I can press the red(power) button and the screen locks now. Before the update one press of the red button and your call was over. Now you have to press it twice to hang up. Nice fix by HTC I must say.

Oh ya. I forgot that was part of the update. I'll give that a try and post my results. You're right, hit end call twice to hang up and once to lock phone.

Thanks!
