Gmail contacts question

ok this really feels like a dumb question, but how do I manage/edit my contacts that are backed up to gmail? I don't mean manages them through the contacts app on the phone. I mean actually seeing them online at gmail and editing them that way.

this is related but still completely different...for some reason when I receive a text message from certain people it never shows in the log. I'm using handcent with the pop up. the message will appear on the pop up but not in the message log. it doesn't occur for everyone, jusy the same two people every time.

this is why I want to manage my contacts. somehow these two contacts have been backed up twice and both the original and double contacts are on my phone. when I tried editing the contacts through the contact app, it shows two gmail contacts under one synced contact.

oh lord. I just read my post and even I don't understand what I'm talking about. can someone please help?

well right now my CPU is out of use. van I do it on my phone? I've looked but haven't seen any options.

Couldn't you just go to gmail.com from your browser on your phone, log in, and see and edit the contacts there?

Edit. i tried it, and you need to select "desktop" from the bottom right after logging in, then contacts will be visible.
