Root Here Are the Madden 11 Files for Download

I figured there would be others, like myself, who are not going to take the update or flash the newest sbf right off but would still like to try out Madden 11 so here are the 2 Madden files zipped up to download. Just unzip and copy both files to your sdcard, copy and paste Madden.apk into the system/app folder and change the permissions to User: read, write; Group: read; and Others: read. Then copy and paste the libMadden10.so file into the system/lib folder and change the permissions to User: read, write; Group: read; and Others: read. Finish by rebooting your phone.

Root Explorer is the easiest way to change permissions.

Has anybody been able to get it to run on .320. It keeps rebooting my phone. I might have to upgrade to .340 sooner than later. (As if I really need an excuse to upgrade software....)

I have the files unzipped on the root of my SD card. When I try to move or copy the .apk, I get error, you can not paste here because the file system is read only. I can't select r/w when I go into system/app folder.

Any ideas? I want to play some Madden!

Long press on the apk file, using root explorer, and select permissions.

Yup. 1.2GHz LV. I haven't had any issues with this OC level but I'll try backing it down and see if that helps.

Definitely try that, I'm at 1.3GHz with lower than ULV and it's working fine but each phone is different.

Thanks for the files. This worked great. I was not sure how this would actually work on a phone, but I have to admit, it is actually a very nice game. I am sure as soon as I show it off to my son I will be buying the full version. It is not as nice as playing on a Xbox, but I would say it is a real good game on a phone.

Did you use root explorer?

Yes I did and had no problems at all copied the two files to the correct location and then rebooted. Then I opened the icon in my drawer and it downloaded the actual program.

I am in the process of loading this on my DX and i am running Rubix's 1.90 .315 version of Froyo. I am currently at 78% downloaded. I followed Airmaxx23 instructions, but I did have to download file to my computer and then transfer the apk and lib file to my sd card and move them with root explorer. I could not move them when I downloaded the file straight from my phone.

try pulling the battery and doing a re-start.
if that doesn't work, try re-rooting using z4root.

Rather, the extra stuff wont download. On wifi or 3g. I mean, it showed up in the app drawer. Another question, (I didn't do this) but why not just install the apk?? Btw, now rooted.
