I am having a weird problem with my X10. I do not have a data plan and just use wifi at home and office. Last month, two times somehow two different add-ons were added to my account. I never logged into my service providers account (Rogers) from my set; neither anyone else uses my set. When I called them, they told me, its activated through phone. Another time, I was charged with downloading a ringtone; can't even think of downloading a ringtone for my set :( Any suggestion, why this kind of weird stuffs are happening and how to prevent them?

You need to speak with your provider about this one if no one else is using your handset cause you may have a serious problem i don't know how far a hacker can go about controlling some one else phone but i guess anythings possible since its pretty much a computer.
And i take it you didnt get any antivirus type of protection?
EDIT Download AVG antivirus free and run it you mat have a some virus ect.

I am also with Rogers.

I know for a fact (though I haven't tried to) that you can add-on to your mobile account via the Rogers Account application. Unless you pressed a few buttons thinking your phone was unlocked is the only explanation I can think of. You can always remove the app as well.

There's also the Rogers UrMusic app which plays your music and allows you to download music, ringtones as well. I wouldn't trust it. use another music app and ensure all the data settings within the app are off such as Download album art, search for recommended songs, etc..

Thanks for the heads up. I had no idea that was a Rogers app.
Off to look for a new music app right now!
