Quick question - do I have to ROOT to be able to use LauncherPro etc or can I just install. If so, do I need a launcher switcher to choose whether to use Sense or anything else?

No root required. You can find LauncherPro and WidgetLocker on the Android Market and they both run on any Desire, rooted or not

After installing LauncherPro, every time you press the Home button you will get the choice to use Sense or LauncherPro. You can select either as the default launcher. In the future you can remove the default choice and use another launcher if you want. Remember to clear all widgets from the Homescreen you are not using so the apps don't waste battery and data while you're not using them.

LightOrion what app makes the "tools apps home system media" thing on the bottom of your screen and how can you have different backgrounds on the different slides? and also every bg tells you where you are, im mean the "tools apps home system media" thing again (love it) is that some app to or printed in the bg before?

Yeah, Baadnewz's HD ROM, its lovely mate, i like a bit of an AOSP ROM, but this one caught my eye, and i love the new sense.

I'm using this too along with diaz's theme, which I absolutely love. The window animations are stellar!

i have a question from this, i got launchpro and i was messing around with it, now when i press the hme button i am not getting the choice to choose which launcher i want, i am only getting sense, i have unistalled launcherpro and reinstalled but stil lno optin to choose, can one help me please, thanks in advance

go into settings> applications> manage applications> All> scroll down to HTC Sense> then scroll down to a buton that says 'Clear defaults'.

amidst the fact that i have exams still to write, i did some revisions, now using classical gas' JAMT on top of his scrolling docks for my custom theme. with defrost.

This is my home screen, most far left, with Clockr Evolution and circle battery widget i believe...? correct me if im wrong.

This is my second screen, changed the colours of the deskclock.apk, and using smooth calendar. and some custom icons.

this is my music screen/media screen, edited the music.apk so that the arrows are the same green as everything else.

this is my final page with all my settings, switch widget pro and audio manager pro with the clear skin.

this is my custom keyboard... cook em at gimpsta!

this is my camera/video camera screen, and yes i edited the camera APK for a custom skin! still trying to perfect it though... not exactly what i want quite yet.

i tried using it. but it didnt work are you supposed to flash the phone apk first or the lockscreen first?

I think you do phone afterwards, but don't suppose it matters.

All the phone apk does is move the interactions to the botton of the screen I think.

I'd love that lockscreen, fully working but don't want the flat black status bar or icons.

I got it "ported" to defrost by some guy on XDA but he never really finished the job, so as you see here:

Its not in the right place.

I had originally tried porting it myself, but that didn't work either.
