Question. My Fascinate bounced off of my lap this morning and the screen doesn't work anymore. I can hear it boot, and the buttons at the bottom light up when I touch them but there's no screen. Verizon is shipping me a new phone and I'll be sending the old one bad. Now, the bad news is I rooted it a month ago. Has anyone else had an experience like this and how did Verizon handle it? Should i break out the lube now, or is there hope?

Without the screen, you should still be able to restore back to stock from within ODIN.

if odin cant restore your phone, then just exchange it when you get the new one...if its a hardware issue then i doubt they ll even notice it was rooted or care

Thank you for the responses guys. It looks to be a purely hardware issue, and I am hopefully now I won't take a hit to the wallet! I'm still going to try the odin restore because I want to learn how to do it anyway.

Thanks gain!

I'm sure it won't be a hit to wallet. Good chances they will replace screen and do factory reset and never even pay attention.:D
