Root How to use *.pit file for stock recovery

Hi I wanted to return to stock on my rooted, cwr, voodoo phone. I saw this XDA thread for returning to stock.

I know the tar files go in the PDA part of ODin. There is also a pit. Just wanted to be sure. Does the PIT file simply go in the PIT section last to then hit start? Thanks for the help.

why are you going back to stock on the phone?

but anyway...you only have to use the pit file with system...not kernel or recovery

and yes the pit goes in the pit section

Thanks for the help. So if I get this right when I do the system.tar I also put the pit file in the pit section and then hit start. For all others I just use the *.tar file. I ended up installing voodoo 5 on DI01. I'm going to follow your advice from my other thread and have disabled lag fix and will try to put on DJ05. If things don't go right I might have to start from scratch.

Also I have stumbled my way through all the updates. So I figured once I have everything figured out, I can do a clean install and go through rooting/cwr/dj05/voodoo5 the correct way. Who knows what the side effects are of me doing this stuff in the wrong order.

you are correct on the process.

but really if you have voodoo5 on dio1....you can just disable lagfix...upgrade the radio, and flash teh dj05 rom....the order wont hurt you....just that you get it all done at some point to be squared away :)
