Hi, I just recently got a GT540, and I've been sort of mystified by the wallpaper size :| I have been looking on this forum and elsewhere, but seems no matter what info I get it's not right. I've tried all the various rules, like 2 x width, 1 x height, a.e. 640x480, and various other resolutions, but no matter which I try, it wants me to crop the image I want to set as wallpaper, and no matter what I do, it can't enclose the entire image.
So, what wallpaper size do I need to use to not have the phone crop the image? :|

Using firmware 2.1 btw.

Thanks :)

I had the same problem till I figured out that you have to click and drag on the bottom or top corner of the crop window and it allows you to drag the selection square out to include the entire picture.

You are right but sometimes you can't get the full pic that way... So if you can, resize it in your PC & then use it in your mobile...

Hi Nirob!!! What I did, I got a photo from my computer and got it resized in Picasa but after transforming the resolution into 320*480 and saving it in my system, I transferred it to my device vis USB data cable. Even after that, when I tried to set that particular pic as mobile wallpaper, it still asks for the resizing option and I face the same problem. How to solve this?

Hi there.
Is there a way you can lock the wallpaper so when you scroll through the front page the wallpaper doesn't move?
I have alot of wallpapers that are portrait not landscape.

Thanks

You can depending on what Launcher you are using :)

Just have a look around in your Home Launchers settings.

I use ADW.Launcher EX and its in ADW Settings - General Behaviour - Animation and Effects - Wallpaper Scrolling.
I'm not sure about the Stock one, as I froze that ages ago :p
