Android Phone 7 Theme

Really nice paul! I'm really impressed it is looking more and more like it. It would be amazing if you could somehow figure a way to change the whole widget to update and display the text/mail counter, instead of a red dot at the corner.
But wow! I'm really impressed!! Good Job!

heyitsericc:

Thanks! Yeah, I know. The counter with the red dot is apparently in the code and not just a .png I can change. So, for now, it's stuck that way. Maybe someday I'll learn Java enough to write my own apps... but for now I'm at the mercy of other developers.

I'll keep looking, though. Perhaps there's another sms/mail counter widget I missed that I can change the badge along with the background.

Keep an eye out... more to come!

Okay everyone... here is what I have for "Android Phone 7 Tile Widgets":

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

So far I only have the blue widgets finished, but red and green ones will follow. These widgets may also only line up perfectly on phones with a resolution of 480x800 (Incredible, etc.).

Here's the link to download the APKs:

Android7 Widgets - Blue - 480x800

Android7 Widgets - Green - 480x800

Android7 Widgets - Red - 480x800

Android7 Widgets - Blue - 320x480 (SMS Unread Count only)

Copy them onto your phone and install them using a file manager (I use Astro).

All of the widgets work (at least on my device) with notification badges on the "Phone", "Message" and "Gmail" widgets (sorry, I can't change the badge shape or color and I can't change this app from linking to the newest email instead of just going to the Inbox) as well as changing icons on the switches.

NOTE: I did not write the apps for these widgets.
The notification widgets are skinned SMS Unread Count widgets by "kanokgems".
The hotspot switch widget is Hotspot Toggle by Mehdy Bohlool.
The other switches are all CurveFish toggles.
And the battery widget is BatStat Battery Widget by Martin Eder.

If you have any other ideas for skinning 1x1, 2x1, or 1x2 widgets available for free on the Market, let me know. CurveFish toggles are pretty accomodating for reskinning, but I don't have a personal need for all of them. Also, if anyone knows of another good notifier widget for SMS, Gmail, etc., let me know.

I only reskinned the widgets. If you have any problems with these widgets, please try to download the original version for troubleshooting or contact the developer of that app.

Also, special thanks to mykela25 for turning me on to APK Manager, which made it possible to "take apart" the apps and change the images for the backgrounds, icons, etc.

Finally... this theme has been a lot of hard work...
If you like what I have done and feel compelled to show your gratitude I accept donations through PayPal:

Thank you, everyone, for following and contributing to this theme.

NOTE: Soon I will post new widget images with an updated font that matches the new Android7 Widgets.

Okay, everyone. Here are all of the original (at least the ones I could find that I made) images for Desktop Visualizer but with the same font as the new Android7 Widgets that I made.

Revised Android7 Icons (480x800)

Keep in mind: these are for devices with a resolution of 480x800 (Incredible, etc.).

If anyone wants to make their own that match, the font is Myriad Pro SemiBold 24 point with a +25 point tracking. It's pretty much a dead match to the stock HTC Android font.

Let me know if I'm missing any of the originals or if you need something new.

Wow, this definitely takes a while from scratch (looking for your own images, getting familiar with gimp, etc). Here's my first attempt. They don't line up perfect since I'm not using Launcher Pro. This is my first screen for now, I'm hoping to make 2 more. Any comments are welcome!

These are the pages I made

pixelfinger:

Layout looks good but I have to ask if the irregular icon spacing is intentional? If not, make sure you have the "Auto-fit Items" options set under [Preferences]->[Homescreen Settings] if you're using LauncherPro. If you need more info on this: Enable LauncherPro "Auto-fit Items" Option For Android Phone 7 Theme.

The images also look pixelated. Try this is it isn't already set: Desktop Visualizer Image Quality Setting.

Thanks for posting. Keep up the good work!

I noticed that the screenshots do look pixilated for some reason but I made sure to use only high res photos on icons I made so luckyly on the device they actually look crisp. As far as spacing I do have auto spacing on but I think maybe the dimensions I used were off. Unfortunately I didn't save any pdf's so ill have to start over unless resizing my images a few pixels won't pixilated it but I doubt it. But between the pregnant wife and the holidays not sure when on gonna have time.

I can't post the link from my phone, but it's listed in the post with the widgets. I used APKManager from XDA.
