Help Help please! There must be a way of setting up email?!

I am trying to follw the steps to hook up to my Tiscali email. It asks for pop3 server, so I tap in pop.tiscali.co.uk, then it auto enters port numbers.

Then it asks for outgoing server? Is that smtp.t-email.co.uk?

It states unable to use server.

Any ideas please

Hi

The outgoing server will be the same as per Tiscali's instructions, i.e. it will be tiscali's server, not t-mobile. I'm going off what I've set up hotmail, which is pop3.live.com incoming and smtp.live.com outgoing.

So going from that, I imagine your out-going server should be smtp.tiscali.co.uk, and that's backed up by this: How to setup Outlook Express to receive all Tiscali emails

like muuurgh's answer proves, a quick googling can help most of the times. but why don't you just let android auto setup your email account? it offers you the option, just have to accept it. i'm sure that it can make it through tiscali, too.
