Permission to use android logo?

Hey guys I've seen a couple games use the android logo but I'm not sure if you need permissions of any sort. If android was the main character in a app would someone get mad at me?

I'm pretty sure you would need to contact Google for this, not an internet forum. But IMO, I'm pretty sure that logo is copyrighted, and shouldnt be used without permission.

There have been a number of discussions of this, mostly in the T-shirt threads. People use the little android for T-shirts and whatnot all the time - Google doesn't care. It's the other trademarks like the one that says "android" in the special font that you need permission for AFAIK.

Doesn't hurt to be careful and ask, though.
