Willing to make wallpapers

Here goes me feeling bad for being a critic again. >.<
To be completely honest, it does seem to busy to me, all the colors (grey, blue I think, purple) draw my eye a bit too much, and with the different shapes I end up focusing on those as well.

Thats my inner critic coming out, blame my Digital Media teacher for that. >.<

Ok, that one was an idea I had on the back burner for a while, so at least I finally did it. Maybe someone else will want to use it. Give me a bit to think up something new.

I have a wallpaper request.

Device: Droid X (Wallpaper: 960 x 854; Lock Screen: 480 x 854)

Image: [2011 Kicherer Mercedes-Benz SLS 63 Supersport - Hood - 1920x1440 - Wallpaper] (I have linked the website that had the image; Photobucket resized image & reduced resolution significantly)

First, for the background, remove the original and replace with a color mix of beige and antique white. In addition, crop out the black areas on both sides of the image. Replace car with Android phones stacked unevenly on top of each other. You can choose any Android phones to make up the stack, with the exception of the one on top; with the one on top, a device with a large screen (Droid X, EVO 4G, Galaxy S, Nexus S, etc.). Make the phone on top roughly the size that the car took up; make it look as if the model is leaning on the phone (with her hand on the screen) instead of the car; size the other phones beneath in proportion to the one on top. With the phone on top, replace the blank screen with an image of a live wallpaper (water image with leaves and a ripple effect where her hand is placed). Place several Android guys (about 3 of them) beside the female model; as if they are peeking under her skirt (make them have curious/wondering/in-awe faces); place several (not too many) other Android guys roaming around in the background. Also place various desserts representing the Android OS versions (cupcake, donut,

Whew! That's a whole lot to ask for, man. Here's my best shot at this one...

A few notes - I couldn't find a nice still image of that wallpaper, so this one is the best I could do. And the ripple effect on the screen is a little more than I'm capable of - so that's a no go. As for the androids facial expressions... even if I could figure out what that would/should look like, that's just more than I can do. More Androids in the background just cluttered things up. There's already a lot going on in this one. And the desserts falling off the stack of phones - I couldn't do that without them looking like they were completely out of place. As for a lock screen version - Just use one of these. The phone will crop it to the right size.

Ok, here's another try at an abstract one for you. Let me know if this works out better.

This one's sized at 1066x800 so that you (if/when you upgrade) and others could use it with a larger resolution screen. It's still in the right aspect ratio for you to use now, and should work fine.

You're welcome. I tried to make the pattern subtle so as not to be distracting, but yeah, I know what you mean about staring at the swirls - I think I hypnotized myself making it!

Keeping in mind that I'm partially color blind, and that the only difference I see between the two is pretty much a matter of brightness, I'd say go with the left as well.

I just downloaded the collection from digitalstylewars without issue. Not sure why you can't. It's a .zip file you'll have to extract the images from on your computer. There are 108 72x72 and another 105 48x48 icons included. Also, once downloaded, the icons do not have a border - Just the icons on a transparent background. I can email you the .zip file if you'd like. Just PM me an address to send them to. As a last resort, I could upload them individually to a Picasa folder temporarily so that you can grab them.

I haven't looked through them all to see what's there and what's not (Edit: All 5 of the ones in the pic you posted are there...), but if you need me to, I'd be willing to make a few custom ones.

I do love this... but.... do you think that you could "soften" or blend in the words and paper things to the right of the girl? It's a little too busy for what I'm looking for...
