[RELEASED] The 4.3 inch "Thunderbolt" aka "Mecha" aka "Incredible HD" from HTC...beyond coming soon!

Allow me to highlight the key word here:

Now allow me to point out that Android has NEVER had any sort of hardware requirement. Why randomly start now?

Yeah, and notice that you quoted my words, "rumor". So yeah, I know its a rumor. Hey, I'm just going by the article that says that Honeycomb requires dual core processors. Anything can be the case, but it shows another reason why it sucks to use old technology on a new phone. As I said before, "if the HTC Thunderbolt is released with a 1Ghz processor, that was released in the U.S in January of LAST year, that's just not cool. When I buy my next "Dream phone", it should be advanced in technology, not just stay the same, especially when competitors like Moto and LG are using advanced technology in their hardware."

Yeah, this is a bummer.... Might be looking at the MOTO or the LG 2X

Me too, I have both the Incredible and the Droid X. My preference by far, is Sense UI. A lot of people are concerned about the locked bootloader, but from personal use and experience with the Droid X, even with the locked bootloader, I can root my phone, use all rooted apps, use themes, and ROMs. So, I'm happy with that. It frustrated because, I believed HTC's slogan for this phone, "It

I'd also like to point out that the whole bit about it having a 1Ghz single core processor is also a rumor.

Chillax :D

Lol, this whole thread is based on rumors, but all of them point to a single core 1Ghz processor, except for that outlandish rumor about the 1.2Ghz dual core. lol, but I say this, if it does infact, have a dual core processor. I will be the first to get this device. I prefer HTC over every other manufacturer, which is why this is so frustrating. Oh and yeah, a 1.2 Ghz processor is not much better to me. lol

Okay, been lurking for a while but finally decided to make an account and join in on the conversation. I've been sitting on an i*phone 3G for over 2 years now, so quite frankly this phone will be a HUGE upgrade over my current phone regardless of the processor, camera lens, android skin used, or any of the other debatable features of this phone. I'm like a homeless person who just got invited to an all-you-can-eat buffet, I'm just happy to be here! :D

Side note: Before I got the 3G, I had been a Verizon customer for about 8 years. Think I could sweet talk them into letting me keep my history as a customer since 2000 if I switch back??? I always liked the customer service I got when I called in, haha.

Actually, according to a super high up Verizon sales person man employee, this thing is going to have a 1.2terahertz processor cooled by unicorn blood.

On a serious note however, has anyone heard any mention of a car dock like the Dinc and Evo have? I've googled and found nothing.

thats bs. its cooled by children's tears

the specs are entirely possible. they are not likely but, it is not impossible for HTC to have procured the chips without someone knowing. especially if the device is being revealed on the sixth. it might not be available for 3 months.
the specs arent possible because the MSM8960 chip referred to in the article isnt even available to the market yet

I think it will be released prob within a month after it is announced on the 6th and I doubt it will have this particular processor. I'm sure we wont see that processor for atleast months IMO. But i guess in 3 days we will find out
