Not even a full game? T-Mobile folks get the entire Avatar movie, and Sims 3 (which may or may not be a demo but I have a feeling it is the full game), and we'll get......a demo. Woot. =/

Well huh... don't know what to think. The screen looks amazing, especially with the EVO right there, EVO screen looks dull and washed out. I know you only get glimpses, so I'm just going by what we can see.

Video was pretty much worthless...didn't reveal anything new. Spending all this time creating new videos when most people just want the damn phone released already...

Is it me or does it look like the screen for the EVO was on a low brightness setting, had a dull background, and/or a screen protector (could be wrong)? Nonetheless, it was just an advertisement for the EPIC, nothing more. I haven't played with the EPIC yet, but I love my EVO, so I'd say get your hands on both at the store to see the difference... when it's out.

I love my EVO, but I also like the EPIC and plan on getting one for my other phone line, but man this comparison is awful. The worst part was the end of the video talking about DLNA connection.

How many people in America have DLNA on their TV's vs. HDMI inputs? A lot of people don't even have a TV that can connect with HDMI cable, so how much better is it to have DLNA connection when only a small portion of America has a TV that can use it...hahahaha.

Demo...ok...but we get other things that the other carriers do not have...full qwerty keyboard, front facing cam...any movies we can put on our phone. Yes the video didn't really say too much. Even if the screen was up too high...it still looks amazing. At least the more stuff being released...the sooner we are getting to have our Epic.

Not sure if they played with the settings on the Evo or not, but I can tell you that the screen on the Epic should be much better than the Evo. I brought a Captivate into a Sprint store and compared the screens side by side. The Sprint sales people couldn't believe the difference.

This whole video is wrong. Not only do they leave out some of the best features of the epic such as DLNA,free 16gb sd card,and the hummingbird proccessor, They also say that the evo wins in taking photos catagory. The epic has tons of options and face detection that takes better photos than the evo anyday. These people where clearly reading off a spec list and were going by MP alone. More megapixels doesnt always mean better. Its obvious that Cnet is on the evo bandwagon. They made a huge deal out of the kickstand. Really? The Kickstand?

On DLNA - I used to wonder about that usefulness, but using my normal wifi connection, my PS3 was able to just get the photos/videos and other files off the phone without doing anything special. It was amazingly simple.. Though I was annoyed that PS3 wouldn't act as a server to get files from it :-(

I have both phones and am an absolute evo fanboy, but the difference in the colors between the epic and it are pretty overwhelming. Everyone on the epic side gets pretty defensive on these points and reads the riot act on the screen and camera every chance they get because put quite simply they both are way better than they are on the evo. And I agree.

That's where I draw the line though.

I assure you nothing is free. You paid for that card in one way or another. It wasn't really free at all.

As for the kickstand, I used to prop my Moment up on my desk at work against a tape dispenser everyday when I steam Pandora. Sometimes it would fall off and hit the floor or hang from the speaker cord. Now I lean the evo back on the kickstand on the desk. I use it everyday. Big deal? Well not really but I do use it everyday.

It just comes from if the person doing the judging knows about video/photography or not. I asked around a lot and I was surprised how many claimed the Evo had a better camera (for the MPs) and a better screen (because it was slightly bigger). I realized however that everyone who prefered the Epic in those categories actually knew what they were talking about compared to those favoring the Evo. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty to love about the Evo over the Epic but camera and screen aren't among them (and they're two things that made my choice for me).

It depends on what you're paying. If you're getting both from Sprint where the Epic is $50 more then I agree that the 16gb card over an 8gb isn't that big a deal. However, if you were shopping on Amazon where both phones were $100, then knowing I wouldn't have to go through the annoyance of expanding the phone right away (because the 8gb of the Evo just ain't enough) is a nice feature.

I'll never disparage the kickstand though. It's a great little addition that I wish more devices had. I also can't believe that they kickstand case they released for the Epic makes it stand upright when anyone with half a brain knows the kickstand was for watching movies which you wanna do in portrait mode.

the epic case with the kickstand swivels i believe. if anything, i think its a belt clip that can double as a kickstand. I do like the feature and wont knock it, for me the Epic and Evo are both awesome phones. As for the camera, check out this link
