Basically topic. I know the simplest way to do it would have been to Google Sync my contacts into my Gmail from my BB then sync them to the EVO, but unfortunately, I can't do that now. The SIM in my BB is out thanks to my number transfer so no data, and I didn't have Google Sync installed.

I have a little over 200 contacts in my BB, and as I'm sure you understand putting all of them in manually is near insanity. Anyone in the same boat as me? Any solutions to this or is a long night of manual contact switching in my future?

Thanks guys!

~Cheers

transfer BB to Outlook express then connect Evo and sync with Outlook express =)

Did it mostly this way myself.

Export contacts to .csv, log into gmail, upload .csv, watch contacts rain down from the cloud

The HTC sync app is messy and I don't like anything that looks like it needs to have a dozen processes running including "generic.exe" all the time. If you're not all paranoid about your contact information being "IN THE CLOUD" (seriously, buzzword of the year is getting really annoying), then just dump the .csv into your gmail and be done with it.

I got it "mostly" squared away. Still working on getting it all cleaned up. I just did it via Bluetooth. My problem now is half of the numbers I transferred, (it seems the ones that were linked with Facebook on my BB) transferred over without a number at all and my EVO for some reason still wants to link low res FB pics to my contacts. So annoying...

Hello,

I had a Blackberry 8350 that no longer works. I tried to sync my contacts (All 1,400 of them) but Gmail has a 1,000 contact limit and that did not work. I have the majority of the contacts within the BB manager. Is there a way to get them OUT of the BB manager and INTO the Evo? That would be my only option, as even Sprint said the BB could not be repaired.

My situation:

I have a Blackberry Curve 8900. I extensively used memos and contacts with some calendar thrown in.
I bought a HTC One S. It was imperative that I move all my information to it. After a few experiments over two days, this is the best solution that I came across:

I downloaded a trial version of Microsoft Office 2010 (Small Home and Office) on my Windows7 PC. You need Outlook to temporarily hold the memo, contact, and calendar information.

Updated my Blackberry Desktop software on the same PC to version 7. Version 6 won't work. Synchronized my BB data to Outlook. Verified that all the information got into Outlook.

Installed android-sync dot com "Note" app on the HTC One. Installed android-sync dot com Server on my PC. They make it look like it's free until you get into it. You'll later find out that it costs $30. It was worth it to me.

After I installed it, I told it to synchronized memos, contacts, and calendar. On the HTC One, I use the included Calendar and Contacts apps. For memos, I use the android-sync dot com Note app.

It synchronized the memos in a couple minutes. It synchronized everything else in seconds.
