Is there any way to view HTML emails with HTC mail viewer? I know I can with the googlemail app. I have tried changing email size to "No Limit" but the option below of "message format" is greyed out as "plain text". Any way to change this to HTML?

Thanks

Weeb the Touchdown app worked brilliantly for HTML email, and give some useful additional functionality for Exchange folder support etc so that might be worth you looking at.

For me, it just seemed like overkill to pay for something so comprehensive (it is also intended to replace the built-in calendar and contacts apps, and also supports task syncing with exchange) when the base OS should be able to display HTML emails, and I'm perfectly happy with the standard apps for calendar, contacts etc.

I'm still looking for a solution to this, or another stand-alone email client that supports HTML - I'll report back if I find anything....

Bump... So what's the deal with no HTML email support for exchange on Android? My coworkers with iPhones have no problem getting HTML email over our exchange server, so what's Android's problem? I hear this may not be a problem with Exchange 2007, but my office is still running Exchange 2003. I feel like I'm stuck in the year 2000 viewing simple text emails on my phone -- very lame. Are there any free apps that get around this HTML email problem?

Try to open the mail app, then select only one email account,
tap on menu key, select settings, select the third menu item, must be something like
"send & recieve" and finally change the Mail-Size Limit ( first menu item) to maximum or whatever you want.
The default value of 5KiloByte limit are not enough to download HTML-Email Content..
You should select at least 100KB..

That worked for me on DesireHD, I hope i could help you.

Don't know if anyone else fixed this but you can view HTML messages within the default HTC Email client.

Within Email go to MENU, MORE, SETTINGS, SEND & RECEIVE, MAIL SIZE LIMIT.

The first two options are 1kb and 5kb with has (text only) shown. Change size to 25kb and your emails in future will be viewable!

Hi All,
I'm having the same issues with a newly purchased (2 days ago) HTC Desire HD.
I've done some work on this today and it seems our exchange server is not a true MS exchange. It is running an alternative along with something called zpush i believe Bigredbox, Big Red Box .At the moment, Zpush doesn't support HTML z-push.net • View topic - HTC Desire HD No push Mail, No picture except for iphone, so it seems what ever i try to use to correct HTML mail coming to my new all singing all dancing phone, it won't work...

Unless anyone can advise different of course..

I have set my mail size limit to entire mail but still there is no html mail. Everything works great, sync's fine and works fine except the html. It is in sync with a sbs2003 server with exchange sp2. I'm using Android v2.2 software v2.2.405.5.
Does anyone have a solution other then some extra apps?

I had the same problem but after setting the mail size limit to what they said before it seems to work just about... It doesn't download all the email when I open it so it doesn't show the HTML mail till I don't click on "Get remaining". A little bit annoying but at least works....

Does any one knows how to set it to always download the whole email??

Just got my Desire today. So has anyone figured out how to do this for Exchange ActiveSync E-mail. I have set the size limit to "Entire Mail" but the Message format option is greyed out. And I have tested with multiple html emails and the message still appears as plain text with no images.

Any ideas? I am on US Cellular if that makes any difference.

Thanks.
