Why no love for HTC Inspire??

My biggest worry is, what will HTC be dropping at Mobile World Conference and CTIA? I know it's useless to worry about future technology, because something better is always around the corner but with both of those coming up in a relatively short period and an unknown release date for the Inspire, is it already dead in the water?

well the inspire will be out by march the latest so whatever is announced at the next shows all depends on what quarter they will be released so you will get at least 6 good months and besides if this phone does what you need it too who cares

The Inspire will be my 2nd option if the Atrix doesn't come to fruition. I was actually waiting for a Desire HD model phone to come to the states. HTC has always been my first choice and l love the form factor and 4.3" screen. With that said, even if the Atrix's tegra 2 chip is a bust, the 1Gb or RAM is just too tempting to pass on.

I also have a feeling that the Atrix will be up at the $299 subsidized price-point while the Inspire will be down at the "normal" $199.

The Atrix has top-of-the-line hardware but I feel that current applications (including the OS) still haven't fully utilized the current hardware norm (1 Ghz CPU with 512 MB of RAM). I still think buying a phone with the Inspire's specs is still a safe bet. Because of this, to me it's really coming down to the fact that HTC seems to have nailed a polished UI with Sense. Motoblur looks like a real heavy skin. Of course, all of that applies if you don't really want to root your phone. I'm sure there will be ROMs closer to AOSP than what Motorola is going to offer.

Skype is going to be a major player in 2011 and video chatting is going to be pushed further to the forefront this year. I think it's gonna be a bigger deal that it was last year. Could be wrong, but now that you can face chat with people on other carriers (thru Skype), I believe it will be a hit.

we will see but my cousins in Italy who have had these feature for many years almost never use it so if I take them as evidence I'm leaning to no
